This is the information I have gathered and hope it’s useful for all who are looking for Consultancies or for profile Evaluation. Strictly not for those who don’t care for their MONEY.
There are many consultancies available nowadays in all over India and all over the State. But, my dear FRIENDS, let me light up you with the kind of process they proceed with you.
There are 3 types of Universitie's in USA
1) STATE Universities 2) Private universities and 3) Community colleges.
State Universities (like SUNY, Texas A&m, CSU-ALL..etc)
Here, No state Univ's will take help for these consultancies as they were directly run by US Government, so no issue of consultancies into these.
Private Universities (like Bridgeport, FDU ,LIU, UNH…etc..)
Coming to private UNiv's, almost all univ's are only to earn profits from students. Knowing this, 90% of US residents will not join in these. Where Univ’s completely depends on International students. Now here comes our HERO (consultancies)to help that suckers. They will have a mutual understanding and make a deal for some AMOUNT.
Community Universities and College's (like NYIT,NJIT..LSU…etc..)
These are the real un-reputed and low standard colleges only for students like US same as private colleges.
Now the real Story Begins…. Here we go get ready folks..... J J J
Many of us have a dream to study abroad. Keeping this mind, as we don’t know anything about Universities in USA, we definitely prefer consultancies for selecting Universities and complete admission process. Every consultancy usually charge 5000-6000 per head some consultancies charge 1000/university.
1) 1000 for courier.
2) 200-500 for bank statement and affidavit.
3) Application fees (varies form univ.-univ.).
4) Financial documentation-20,000-40,000
Now the story takes a main turn (wrong turn have u seen Hollywood movieJ) and twists, bluffing and word violence Begins......
Ø Every consultancy usually suggests nearly 4 or 5 universities for sure, if u question them Y..? Then they will answer like 2 safe side, 2(60-40), last one as a lottery(they say it as good university).
Now we people eagerly waiting for to step in USA say’s “ok sir/madam any way I want 2 or 3 admits…I don’t know what you will do” Knowing our curiosity and innocence they easily grab a fish that is roaming in a small pond. Now we become the fish that caught by a well experienced and expertise fisher man. Now we (Fishes) are tasty food for that fisherman (consultancies).
Here is the real truth.
What really happens is 50% of consultancies won’t apply to all the 4 or 5 universities. They just apply to 2 or 3 universities for which they know that I20 will be 100% sure issued and definitely to high commission deal universities. After 2-3 months, he/she just conveys that, though they have applied to 4 universities you have got admit for 1 or only 2 universities. But it’s a lie. If they apply seriously-definitely you will get all the 4 universities based on your profile.
Suggestions-for you to not to fall into trap of fisherman (Consultancies)
Every university gives a student ID and password to check their online application process and admission status. You must demand your consultancy for that ID and password. If not, you can’t come to know that whether he/she has applied and paid the application fees. Here ,they will save their courier charges and application charges taken from U(coz to all univ's and colleges they had made a tie up, they need not to send a packet, they can directly email them and get an admission, some univ’s may also waive off application fees). If u have a suspect on your consultancy can ask for courier tracking number, he will give u if he really made a courier to the University.
Many of the students will definitely have a good profile, at-least 60% students have 285+ GRE, though they can get an admit in state univ's, since consultancies have the tie ups with only private and community ,they will suggest only those. Even though a student can get a scholarship to his profile and free education for his academics...they won’t concern towards the student, they just look for their business.
There are private univ’s which give scholarship. But it’s just like Shopping Mall offers an item of original cost 200/- worth is stickered with 500/-label and will say like 40% flat OFF. Same process will be done over here, tuition fees will be like 10,000-15,000$per year according to university. They will mention like 15000$ and will offer a scholarship saying 5000$ OFF seems funny, but it’s exactly true. For ex. It happens with Bridgeport, FDU, Okhlama…etc.
Though you have a low profile, or a good profile. Never apply to those Univ's and colleges.

This is just a list of few Univ's and colleges which were under consultancies.
v More Suggestions for you---ask all these below…wake up your brain….
Though you have a low profile or good, always ask for state Univ's.
If your profile is above 65%,295+ GRE and IELTS/TOEFl-6.5/85----ask for funding options.
If your profile is above 70%, 300+ GRE and IELTS/TOEFl-7.0/95---ask for GA, scholarship
If your profile is above 75%, 315+ GRE and IELTS/TOEFl-7.5/110+----ask for universities which give free education.
Financial documentation-
Remember 1 thing. No visa officer will ask your passbook or en-quire with your bank "whether you have amount in your acc or not". Generally everyone will have the fear of visa interview. This is the weakness of your's to our consultancy people they will say like, they will deposit 15-25 lakhs into your account and will charge 1000-1100 per lakh. But the real truth is that, THEY WON'T DEPOSIT ANY AMOUNT IN UR A/C. THEY JUST GIVE U A BANK STATEMENT WHICH IS AVAILABLE FOR 150/-(the one u apply to universities to get I20). Strange, but ACTUAL TRUE. They just give u a statement. That’s it. For which they charge 15,000 to 25000 which really cost only 150 rupees.
Furthermore lighting suggestions to dear friend’s.
Ask for passbook statement, Xerox copy, at-least ask them to show a passbook and the printed transactions of 15 lakhs. Do blindly keep in your mind that, No bank will allow more than 40,000 to deposit in a account in a DAY. No bank will give the information of transactions to whomever other than the acc holder. No visa officer will have time to enquire with the bank. Every visa officer will just have a look of amount available and Bank name. That’s it. So you really don’t have the need of asking the consultancies to deposit the amount. Just a bank statement is enough.
Rules to be strictly followed if you are through a consultancy-
1) Ask for your courier tracking number.
2) Ask for your student ID and password to the university you have applied(every university issues soon after u fill the online application form. not more than 2days the day u fill it).
3) You can take a single bank statement copy and affidavit and make a color Xerox of them. (Seriously) just a single copy is enough
4) Ask for how many univ's they have really applied and demand for the students acc and Id. You can Cleary know by that whether they have applied or not. Some interesting fact is that, though they apply to 4 and get all the 4 or 5 -i20's, they will mention u only 2,bcoz those two will be high commission and remaining will be sum what lower than first 2.
5) You can send bank statement, affidavit, passport, Xerox, copy, LOR,SOP through
Email in PDF format.
6) No consultancy or no person can deposit an amount of 15-20 lakhs in a account.
7) As they will charge 3000-5000 for fake bank loan letter, ask for genuine sanctioned bank loan letter, for fake letter, 300 is hardly enough, because it’s just a printed copy. That's it.
HOPE THIS INFORMATION IS USEFUL. My intention is not to blame your consultancy. But just want to give you all rough information of their process and suggesting you all to save YOUR AMOUNT.
